Privacy Policy

What happens to a request when you open a page here — including the parts that leave our control.

The short version

BCCFC has no accounts, no logins, no newsletter and no comment section, so there is nothing here you can hand us on purpose. What follows is the list of things that happen anyway when a browser opens a page, and who sees them.

What actually happens when you open a page

Four items. You can verify every one of them from your own browser’s network panel.

1. The page itself

Pages are static files served through a content delivery network. Like any web request, that request carries your IP address, your browser’s user-agent string and the page you asked for, and that provider processes them in order to send you the page. What comes back to us from it is aggregate traffic counts, not a record of individual visitors.

2. Analytics

This site runs its own analytics, served from this domain rather than by a third-party advertising network. It uses first-party cookies: they belong to this domain, only this domain can read them, and they let us recognise a returning browser instead of counting it as a new visitor each time. The longest-lived of them expires after about 13 months. The analytics counts page views; it is not used to build a profile of you and it does not follow you to other sites.

3. The web font

The pages ask for a typeface from Google’s font service, which means your browser makes a request to a Google-operated host, and that request carries your IP address and user-agent as any request does. This is the one third party a page here reaches out to on its own, and we would rather name it than let you find it in the network panel. If the font never arrives, the site renders in your system typeface and nothing else is affected.

4. Bookmaker links

A betting button is not a direct link to a bookmaker. It goes to a path on this domain, which redirects through a click-tracking service we operate and then on to the bookmaker. That redirect records that the click happened and which page it came from, and it sees your IP address and user-agent, as every web request does. From the moment you arrive at the bookmaker, that company’s own privacy policy governs what happens next, and we have no visibility into your account or your bets.

What we do not do

  • We do not ask you for a name, an email address or any other personal detail — there is no form on this site that accepts one. If you choose to email support@bccfc.com, we receive your address and your message and use them only to reply to you.
  • We do not sell, rent or share reader data. The only reader data we hold is email you send us yourself.
  • We do not run advertising networks, retargeting pixels or social widgets. There are no embedded social buttons here.
  • We do not send newsletters or marketing email. The only email we send is a reply to a message you wrote to us, so there is nothing to unsubscribe from.

Your browser gives you the controls that matter here: blocking third-party requests will stop the font from loading and the site will still work, and clearing site data deletes the analytics cookies — the only thing this site stores in your browser.

This policy describes the site as it is built today. It will be updated if that changes, and the version on this page is the one that applies. Privacy questions go to support@bccfc.com (see contact).
